Dr Elson Pediatric Dentist

Dr. Elson takes care of our patients who need comprehensive care under general anesthesia at Southwestern Ambulatory Surgical Center.  Originally from New York City, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Queens College of The City University of New York and received his dental degree from The College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers.)  After 2 1/2 years as an officer in the US Army Dental Corps, Dr Elson received his Specialization Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry from Allegheny General Hospital, in Pittsburgh.  He practiced in McKeesport for 38 over years and now, exclusively treats patients, under general anesthesia, at the surgery center.  Dr Elson is a member of the American Dental Association Medicaid Provider Advisory Committee and is a Fellow of both the International and American College of Dentists.

He’s also a profession actor and has appeared on radio, television, films and stage throughout the US and Canada.  He stills plays competitive adult baseball, has 6 national championship rings to prove it, and is a member of both the Western Pennsylvania Jewish Sports Hall of Fame and the Queens college Athletics Hall of Fame.

Dr. Elson has been voted, by his peers, as a Pittsburgh Magazine Top Dentist every year the award has been given.

He, and his wife, Robin have two grown children and four beautiful grandchildren.
