Dr. John Power

General Dentist

Dr. John Power was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, where he attended Fox Chapel High School. From a young age, he developed a passion for science and a love of working with his hands, particularly through woodworking.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Rochester in upstate New York and went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Power then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency in Providence, Rhode Island, where he gained experience caring for children and adults with special needs, as well as patients with dental anxiety.

After residency, Dr. Power practiced general dentistry in Southern Massachusetts, with a particular focus on sedation dentistry for those with dental anxiety.

During this time, Dr. Power worked extensively within the community, providing care to underserved populations. Dedicated to improving access to healthcare, he has also volunteered at the Mission of Mercy free dental clinic in Rhode Island for the past six years.

He is now excited to return to his hometown of Pittsburgh and bring his experience treating children with special healthcare needs to Miracle Dental. In his practice, Dr. Power values creating a positive, comfortable environment for children and empowering them through education about oral health and well-being.

Dr. Power lives in Indiana Township with his wife, Hetal. Outside of dentistry, he enjoys woodworking, running, and hiking.
